I was born and grew up in Yorkshire, England and studied BA (Hons) in Textile Design from the world-renowned University of Leeds.

I also have a Diploma in Interior Design from Rhodec International.

For over 20 years, whilst living in Ireland, I specialized in woven industry-led design and had  successful own-label lines of handwoven accessories for the Irish domestic and international markets.

In 2011 my husband, daughter and I, along with our 2 Irish cats relocated to The Bahamas !

After a "holiday" period of adjusting to and enjoying my new and very contrasting surroundings, I decided to re-launch my design business, with a new focus on print and surface  pattern design for the interiors and apparel markets. To this end, I am updating my design skills with regular courses in print and pattern design.

The natural beauty of The Bahamas and the Caribbean tropical land and seascapes heavily influence my current work. I love the vibrancy of the colors found in the lush vegetation, the intense hues of the crystal clear waters and the soft muted tones of the powder sand beaches and parched sun bleached driftwood and shells to be found on the shoreline.

I have always been a keen photographer, and use my images as starting points of inspiration for my work.

Island life has brought with it new friends, new experiences and a renewed interest in my love of sailing and the outdoor life.
